Our practice mallets allow the player to rehearse parts on a pan without disturbing others.

For professional players, this means that you could rehearse in a hotel room without disturbing your neighbors. Used by performers such as Jonathan Scales and John Patti.

For ensembles – a director can run a sectional with, say, just the Lead players using regular mallets, and the rest of the band using the practice mallets. This allows the other players to rehearse their parts while clearly hearing how the Lead parts relate to what they’re playing.
