Precision Series Pans are made on Solid Hoop barrels from 16 gauge steel with a diameter of 26 inches (compare traditional pans on a 22 1/2″ barrel from 18 gauge steel).

By increasing the diameter of the barrel and not increasing the range, it becomes possible to make pans that have complete clarity and crispness, and a proper harmonic structure on every note. The additional space between the notes yields extremely stable instruments that stay in tune significantly longer than traditional instruments, and have a very broad dynamic range.
