I love the reflections you get in a nicely chromed pan.

This was an "A" Lead I tuned in Florida. It was originally made by Kyle Cox. I am toying with making one...any takers?

Bryan W after I tuned his pan. The instrument had been physically thrown out of a car in a wreck. It was in remarkable condition for what it went through. It was in much better shape when I was done :)

My first Booth! Marc and I went down to the Ohio Valley Festival of Steel in 2011 and set up a booth, it was nice to meet some new friends and touch base with some old ones.

One of my other passions is making and flying kites. These are two of my creations, that I got to fly when Angel and I gigged in Put-In-Bay in July 2011

Kent Arnsbarger called me up with an emergency when I was gigging with Angel at Ball State in Indiana. His pan had been blown over at a gig and was out of tune, and he needed it fixed ASAP (he makes his living playing pan). We arranged to meet in the Kekionga Middle School parking lot; we each drove 2 hours to get there. Kent downloaded a guitar tuner app onto his iPhone (not ideal but good enough), and I bought a hammer and masking tape, and fixed his pan in the parking lot! It was good for 6 months before it needed tuning again :)

I will never understand this. Hangers are cheap...zip ties will break repeatedly and cost you more money in the long run since your pan will get damaged...but people keep using them!

Never try and tune a pan yourself. I eventually resurrected this note using the ellipse drawn on there, but those hammer marks were the work of the owner of the instrument who almost destroyed the pan. The note was tuned an octave sharp when I arrived!

This hanger added a nice buzz to the sound of the pan.... At least it wasnt a zip tie! Real hangers are cheap.
